The first expert search engine

PRESANS, a startup from the Ecole Polytechnique in France founded in 2009, developed and implemented the Multistep Dynamic Expert Sourcing (MDES) approach. It relies on a combination between a state-of-the-art web-mining technology and a secured multistep problem solving process. In this approach, experts do not register, instead, the various digital tracks they leave on the web allow to detect and to invite them on-demand to tackle most challenging technological problems. MDES has strong advantages for the platform, for the experts and for the client companies. PRESANS recently launched in 2011 the first Worldwide Expert search Engine;jsessionid=A81E4037D8B6D6EB3B4C337E41C3375F;jsessionid=A81E4037D8B6D6EB3B4C337E41C3375F;jsessionid=A81E4037D8B6D6EB3B4C337E41C3375F

Innovation Exchange: an open innovation vendor

Innovation Exchange is an open innovation vendor which emphasizes community diversity; it sources solutions to business problems from both experts and novices. Companies sponsor challenges which are responded to by individuals, people working in ad hoc teams, or by small and midsize businesses. In contrast to sites focused primarily on innovation in the physical sciences, Innovation Exchange fosters product, service, process, and business model innovation.
